Install the IRC Portable Data Scheduler

Note: Before installing the IRC PDS, ensure that you set the User Control Settings to Never Notify. Else the system gives an error during installation. To change the settings , go to Start > Control Panel > Programs > User Accounts > Change User Account Control settings or Start > Control panel > Action Center > Change User Account Control Settings.

Install the IRC Portable Data Scheduler as follows:

  1. Go to the Infor Product Download Center, click the IRC Portable Data Extractor/Scheduler link.
  2. Download the IRC Portable Data Extractor and Scheduler zip file to your local machine and unzip the folder.
  3. Go to the IRC PDS folder and double-click the IRC PDSClientInstaller.msi file. The Welcome screen of the installation wizard is displayed.
  4. Click Next. The Select Installation Folder screen is displayed. The default install path is displayed in the Folder field.
  5. Click Browse to install on a different location. Select the required path and click OK.
    Note: If you have Windows 10 operating system, PDS installation may fail. To overcome this issue, run the command prompt as an Administrator and install PDS from the command prompt.
  6. Click Next. The Confirm Installation screen is displayed.
  7. Click Next to start the installation. The screen displays the progress of installation.
  8. The Administrator Credentials screen is displayed at this stage of installation. Provide the administrator credentials to run the IRC Portable Data Scheduler service.
  9. Click Test Credentials. If the credentials are successfully validated, a pop-up window is displayed confirming the same. If incorrect credentials are provided, the pop-up window displays a message stating that the validation has failed.
    Note: Other users assigned the Administrator role can change these credentials. To change these credentials, go to the [Install Path]/configureservice.exe file. Specify the new credentials and click OK after testing the credentials.
  10. When the installation is complete the Installation Complete screen is displayed. Click Close to exit the wizard.
