Importing Windows Scheduled Tasks

When using the migration utility to migrate from Source System to Target System, Windows schedules are not migrated. The IRC/CM Administrator must copy the schedules manually from the old to the new application server as follows:

  1. Navigate to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Task Scheduler on the Target system.
  2. Select the Connect to another computer option in the Actions panel.
  3. Log into the Source System by providing the required credentials.
  4. Export the schedules from Windows task scheduler (source machine).
  5. Import the schedules into the Target System.
  6. Select Run with highest privileges in the Properties folder on the General tab.
    • If the IRC/CM install paths for the source and target servers are different in the Properties folder on the Actions tab, update the path in the Details field for TMInitiateTasks.exe (that is, change the drive from C:\ to D:\)
    • The user account running the task must be changed to the user running the IRC/CM windows services (if not already set)
  7. Restart the application server for the new schedules to take effect.
Note: When windows scheduled tasks are imported from the Source System server to Target System server, the last extracted date displayed on the Insights Info tab in the Connections menu is displayed as 1/1/0001.
