Build the rule condition
Build conditions for this rule as follows:
- On the Select Objects tab, select 'Item Master' as the primary object.
- Select the other objects that will participate in the rule condition. It is not mandatory to select other objects as they are not the cause of the exceptions.
- Select the check box Check Duplicate Objects.
- In the Select Template field, select Default Template.
- Click the Build Conditions tab.
- On the Duplicate Object Conditions panel next to Description and Item Group, select the option Exact Match. This enables the rule engine to search for items with identical description or item group. For all the other fields, select the option Do Not Check.
- To build the first condition, left click Select Value under Value Set 1. Browse and select objects and operators as listed in the table below.

Add Condition, to add
other rule conditions. The objects and the operators to be added to these
conditions are listed in the table below:

When an analysis is performed using this rule, all item masters having exact values or having values as NULL or empty are displayed as exceptions. Items deleted from the ERP system are not considered in the analysis, so they are not displayed as exceptions.
