Actions from the What-ifs page
This page enables you to perform the following actions:
- Search for a what-if analysis.
- Create what-if analyses:

- View history
The History tab on the What-if home page lists all the available What-if analyses along with details like the creator of the What-if analysis, the object impacted, the connection name, the What-if creation date and the existing status of the What-if. The creation date displayed on this tab is according to the time zone defined on the Preferences page. Click on a What-if analysis link to view details of the What-if analysis.
- View details of a
completed What-if analysis.
To view details of a What-if analysis, including details of violations generated, click the What-if analysis link. The Violation Details page for that What-if is displayed.
- View details of a What-if analysis for SAP
- View details for a What-if for Lawson, Infor, Oracle, PeopleSoft FISCM or PeopleSoft HRMS
- Delete a What-if analysis.
To delete a What-if analysis from the home page, click the Delete icon next to the analysis.
- Refresh status.
Click the Refresh icon to refresh the status of the What-Ifs displayed on this page.
- Generate a request
If Access Manager is installed on your server, you can generate a request from a What-if analysis as follows:
- If the What-if
analysis does not generate violations you can create a request by clicking the
Violation Details page.
Note: To generate a User Creation request from a User Creation What If, the option Allow new user creation through a request ( ) must be set to .
icon. You can also create a request for this What-if analysis from the
- If the What-If analysis generates violations, you can create a request only from the Violation Details page.
- If the What-if
analysis does not generate violations you can create a request by clicking the
Violation Details page.
- Review the completed
What-if.
To review a What-if analysis without violations, click the icon displayed next to it. Once a What-if is reviewed, it moves from the What-if home page to the History tab on the What-if home page.Note: What-if analyses with violations can be reviewed only from the Violation Details page.
- Generate a report.
Click the
icon to generate the violations details report for the What-if.- The report time displayed in the report is according to the application server time zone.
- The role validity dates displayed in the report is according to the ERP time zone.
- The What-if creation date displayed in the report is according to the application server time zone and is abbreviated by the time zone.
- Re-Analyze What-if: Click
the
Re-Analyze icon to
perform the What-if analysis again. You may need to re-analyze What-ifs in
these scenarios:
- What-if failure for some environmental issue
- Change in the data or the rule
Note: You can not re-analyze the What-if analyses that are in the 'in-progress state and in the 'reviewed' state. - Download data
Click the
icon to download the information on this page to a CSV format. Information in the CSV file is displayed in the default format even if it has been sorted on this page. The date and time information downloaded is the application server time, even if the information is downloaded at a different time zone.
