How Global Search Works
Using global search you can search the following Insights:
- Authorizations Insights for SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft HRMS, PeopleSoft FISCM, Infor, and Lawson
- Process Insight for Infor, Payroll Insight for Lawson.
- Studio generated Insights
- User Activity Insight for SAP
- Configuration Insight for SAP
- Configuration Insights and Process Configuration Insights for Oracle and PeopleSoft.
When you type in a search string, Infor Risk & Compliance searches the columns of the corresponding table. If the search criteria match the data in the columns, the search results are displayed on the search page. If no match is found, the User Interface displays a message stating that no records were found. For example, while searching for a specific role, the columns 'role name' and 'role description' are searched and the role is displayed if the search string is present in these columns.
The Global Search page displays the search information on the following panels:
Left panel: The left panel displays all objects containing the search string and the number of searched objects. For example, if you searched for ' vendor', the left panel displays objects containing 'vendor'. For example, it might display Rules (18) indicating that 18 rules contain 'vendor'.
Right panel: When you click an object link on the left panel, the panel on the right displays the list of search results for the object selected. For example, if you selected Authorizations(540) on the left panel, the right panel displays all 540 authorizations. Each item displayed on the right panel will enable you to drill down further into details as described below:
- Insights Other Than Process
Insights
- If an object generates violations, click the violations hyperlink on the pop-up menu to display the details of violations on the Violations page.
- If you move the mouse pointer over an authorization, the pop-up menu will display objects related to authorizations, such as users, roles, connections or transactions. Click on a hyperlink to drill down into a new window containing details of the related object.
- If you search for a user who is present in any Authorizations Insight the related objects might include exceptions if Process Insight is also installed. For example, assume that a user, John, is from an Authorizations Insight. The pop-up menu on the right panel will include related objects such as 'Invoice Exceptions' . When you click the Invoice Exceptions link the details of the exception will be displayed in the Exceptions browser. This is because the object Invoice that caused the exception was created by John.
- Process Insight
If the search is made in the Process Insight , the search result itself will appear as a hyperlink. Click a hyperlink to display details of the object in the Data browser.
Click the
icon. A pop-up window will display all related objects with the number of occurrence for the searched object. When you click on the a related object, the system will display the distinct records based on the columns available.- If an object generates exceptions, click the exceptions hyperlink on the pop-up menu to display the details of exceptions on the Exceptions by Rule page.
- Emergency Access Requests
For Emergency Access requests which do not require analysis, the Violation Details link will be disabled.
Note: Only users with access to a page will be able to drill down to that page by clicking a link from the Global Search page. Users who try to drill down to a page for which they do not have access, will see the message saying they are denied access or no records have been found.
