Automatic reset users password

Users assigned the Administrator role can use this feature to change the password for existing application users.

Note: To change the password for an existing user, you can either select a user and click the Automatic reset user password icon or click the selected user name link to navigate to the selected user details page.

The password is generated by the system and is in accordance with the settings configured through the Password Policies section. The new password is sent to the user on the email address specified for the user.

If a user is disabled because the user's password has expired, the user will not be able to sign-in. The Administrator will need to reset the user's password so that the user will be able to sign in again.

Before re-setting the password, ensure that the SMTP server is configured through Settings > Configuration > Infor Risk & Compliance System > Outgoing Email Server. Unless this is done, the user interface will display an error message and  the password will not be reset.

Note:  Automatic reset users password applies to Infor Risk & Compliance Application Security authentication only. In an Active Directory setup, the Automatic reset users password icon is not displayed.
Note: For the Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) authentication, the Automatic reset users password option is not displayed.
