Conflicts Rule

Conflict rules enable you to identify users and responsibilities that are assigned two or more conflicting functions or menus.

As an example, the procedure to build rule conditions for a 'Function Conflicts' type of rule is provided below:

Function Conflicts

Function Conflicts rules determine conflicting functions assigned to a user through a menu.

Sample Rule

  • Rule Book Name: Oracle_AI_Accounts_Payable
  • Rule Control Number: AI_AP0019
  • Rule Name: Enter Inventory Cycle Counts versus Adjust Inventory Cycle Counts
  • Rule Type: Sensitive or Conflicts Rule
  • Object : Functions
  • Build the rule condition

The functions selected in this sample rule do not contain subfunctions, profile options or function prompts. However, if you select functions that contain these object types, they must be added as follows:

  1. Expand the selected function for which subfunctions, profile options or function prompts are to be added.
  2. Depending on the object to be added, click Add Subfunction > Add Profile Option > Add Function Prompt.
  3. In the pop-up window displayed, add the required objects from the Quick Add tab or from the Select Objects tab as explained above.
