Scope
Use this panel to define the connection scope and the analysis scope.

Connection Scope
This panel enables you to scope the data to be analyzed by selecting the required connections. You have the following options to select the required connections:
- Select Analyze connections set in schedule to manually select the required connections from the Connections drop-down list. Select the check-box All to select all connections.
- Select
Analyze connections in rule
books to select the connections associated with the rule books
selected in the Analysis Scope panel.
If connections are secured, you can view only those connections that are accessible to you. Data extracted from these connections is considered in the analysis.

Analysis Scope
To define the analysis scope, you can select either Keywords, Rule Books or Parameter Lists.

- Clear the All selection.
- In the autosuggest text box that is displayed, type in part of the keyword name. A drop-down list displays all keyword names matching the search criteria. Select the desired keyword. The keyword appears in the Keywords list. Alternatively, browse and select the desired keyword and click OK. The keyword appears in the Keywords list.
To remove a keyword from the Keywords list, select the keyword to be removed and click the Remove icon.
To view the rules and parameter lists assigned to the selected keywords, click Show Assigned Rules and Parameter List link. A pop-up window displays the rules and parameter lists associated with the selected keywords. Use the search feature to search for a specific rule or a parameter list.
: Instead of browsing for and
selecting rule books and parameter lists for an analysis, select this option to
use rule books and parameter lists associated with the selected keywords. By
default, all keywords are selected. To select a specific keyword:

Rule Books/Parameter Lists
Select this option to specify the rule books and parameter lists to be used in this analysis.

Apply Rule Books
You can either select all rule books or specific rule books. To select specific rule books:
- In the autosuggest text box that is displayed, type in part of the rule book name. A drop-down list displays all rule book names matching the search criteria. Select the desired rule book. Alternatively, browse and select the desired rule book
- Click OK. The rule book appears in the Apply Rule Books list.
To remove a rule book from the Apply Rule Books list, select the rule book to be removed and click the Remove icon.
Note: While selecting rule books, you will be able to view only the rule books owned by you. The violations generated in this analysis will be the violations for the rule books owned by you. - Apply Parameter
Lists
You can either select all parameter lists or specific parameter lists. To select all the parameter lists, select the check box All . To select specific parameter lists:
- In the autosuggest text box that is displayed, type in part of the parameter list name. A drop-down list displays all parameter lists names matching the search criteria. Select the desired parameter list. Alternatively, browse and select the desired parameter list.
- Click OK. The parameter list appears in the Apply Parameter Lists list.
To remove a parameter list from the Apply Parameter Lists list, select the parameter list to be removed and click the Remove icon.
If the number of selected Parameter Lists increases, the time taken to complete the analysis will also increase.
Note: For a cross connection analysis, the following rules are not considered in the analysis :
- Role Assignment Limit rules for SAP, and PeopleSoft
- Responsibility Assignment Limit rules for Oracle.
