Outgoing Email Server

This panel helps you to manage the distribution of notifications for alerts and requests from Infor Risk & Compliance to its users. Emails are sent based on the events for which the notifications are created. Email notifications can be created for the following events:

  • Analysis
  • Baseline
  • Compensating control
  • Connections
  • Emergency access
  • Extraction
  • Exception/Violation mitigation
  • Parameter list
  • Parameter
  • Reports
  • Rule book management
  • Rule management
  • Upload data
  • Workflow management
  • What-if analysis

Configure email notification settings as follows:

  1. Select the check box Required SSL check box only if the SMTP server is configured as secured.
  2. Specify the name of the SMTP Server. Infor Risk & Compliance uses the SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) server to send notification emails. If no information is provided in this field, the application checks if the local SMTP server is running on the Infor Risk & Compliance server. If the local SMTP server cannot be found, Infor Risk & Compliance cannot send email notifications.
  3. Specify an address in the From Address field. The address will identify the sender of email notifications (a mailbox setup for Infor Risk & Compliance or an individual's account).
  4. Select the check box Outgoing mail server (SMTP) needs authentication if you need to specify credentials for the SMTP server. This is required when you are using a third party SMTP server.
  5. Specify the User Name and Password that will be used to authenticate the SMTP server.
  6. Specify the Infor OS Platform machine url from which the Infor Risk & Compliance is accessed, in the Infor OS Platform URL field, . Email notifications will contain the URL contained in this field. For example (https://server:port/infor/SiteGUID ).
  7. Specify the Infor Risk & Compliance logical ID in the Application Logical ID field. Locate this ID as follows:
    1. Login to Infor OS Platform as an Administrator.
    2. Go to Site Actions > View All Site Content.
    3. Click Infor Application Deployments.
    4. Search for the required Infor Risk & Compliance application instance name in the Title column.
    5. Copy the value of Logical ID for this instance from the Logical ID column.
  8. Specify the email address for the account that will receive and process emails from Infor Risk & Compliance users, in the Incoming Account field. For example, if a user unsubscribe to an event, or if a reviewer discusses an exception with another reviewer, the emails interchanged between reviewers are processed through this account.
  9. Click Generate One Time Password. The OTP is sent to the email address specified in the From Address field above. OTP is valid for 15 minutes from the generation time.
  10. Enter the OTP and click Verify to verify the email address.
    Note: Verification of the email address is required whenever you change the address in the From Address field.
  11. Spcify an email address in the Send To field of the Test Email panel. Click the Test Email icon  to send a test mail.
  12. Select one of these options in the Notification Mail Option panel:
    • Do not send User ID and Password notification email: Use this option for not sending the User ID or password by email.
      Note: When you select this option, the option to automatically change user password appears disabled on the Security page. This feature is applicable for CMAS (Infor Risk & Compliance Authentication Scheme).
    • Send User ID and password in separate mails: Use this option to send the user ID and password for a new user through separate emails. By default, the user ID and password are sent in separate mails.
      Note: This feature is applicable for CMAS (Infor Risk & Compliance Authentication Scheme).
    • Send User ID and password in the same email: Use this option to send the user ID and password for a new user through a single email.
      Note: This feature is applicable for CMAS (Infor Risk & Compliance Authentication Scheme).
    • Send User ID only in the email(For ADFS enabled): Use this option to send only the user ID through a email.
      Note: This feature is applicable only for ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services) authentication. If the ADFS authentication is removed, you must update the Notification Mail Option setting accordingly.
  13. Click Save.
