General settings

The General Settings panel enables you to define the following:

Note: If you are accessing the IRC application through the Infor OS, the language and the time zone settings are driven by the Infor OS and are not displayed on the IRC user interface.
  • Language: Select a language from the drop-down list. The default browser language is English (US). You can change the browser language by configuring the setting in Web.Config file. For details, refer to Infor Risk & Compliance Platform - Configuration Settings.
    Note: The language selected here overrides the Browser language. However, for the system generated emails for features like Violation browser, Exception browser, Sign In page( in case of Infor Risk & Compliance Application Security), the system displays text in the Browser language (and not in the language selected here) as user session information is not maintained . To display these pages in the language selected here, ensure that you select this language as the default Browser language. Similarly for MSSSRS reports to be displayed in the language selected here, ensure that the language selected on the Preferences page and the Browser language are the same.
  • User Time zone: From this drop-down list, select your local time zone. By default, the Infor Risk & Compliance application server time is selected.
    You also have the option to switch between different time zones without the need for IIS reset, service restart or server restart. If Infor Risk & Compliance is accessed across different time zones, this setting ensures that the time displayed on the user interface is your local time that corresponds to the time at which the activity occurred in a different time zone. After you save this setting, all time fields generated by Infor Risk & Compliance are displayed in your time zone configured here.
    Note:  Date fields, which have no time component, solely record date information (and no time zone-related information) so are not affected by time zone settings.
  • Date and Time format: The date and time format displayed on the User Interface depends on the browser language you have selected. For example, if the browser language selected is English (United States) [en-us], the date and the time format would be:

    Whereas, if the browser language selected is German (Germany) [de-DE], the date and time format would be:

    Note:  If your browser language is selected as German (Germany) [de-DE] and on the Preference page of Infor Risk & Compliance you select the language as English (United States) [en-us], Preference setting will override the browser setting and display the date and time on the User Interface  in English (United States) [en-us].
  • Display Tabular Dashboard view : Select this option to view the Dashboard in the normal chart view and the table view. The Dashboard is displayed in the normal chart view, by default.
  • Do not auto refresh Task Manager: Select this option to disable the auto refresh feature of the Task Manager page. When you select this option, you have to click the Refresh icon on Task Manager page to refresh the page. This option is not selected, by default.
