Rule Summary

The Rule Summary tab enables you to provide high level information about the reason for the exceptions generated by the primary object in a rule. This information is displayed on the third level of the Exceptions page.

Note: Rule Summary can be provided only for the rules of the Process Insight. While building a rule, the objects and fields available for Rule Building, Reporting Field, and Rule Summary are from the Insight Schema. However, the Comparison Value or Calculated Fields are not a part of the Insight Schema and hence are not available for Rule Building, Reporting Fields, or Rule Summary.

To provide the rule summary:

  1. Click Add Text Block . In the free text box provided, enter a summary or description for the selected reporting field.
  2. Click Add Field to select multiple reporting fields and provide descriptions for each.
  3. Click Refresh. The Preview field displays the key output fields in parentheses and the summary text for that object. For example, '[INVOICE_ID] greater than 5000'.
  4. When the rule is analyzed, the place holder [INVOICE_ID] will be replaced with the actual Invoice ID numbers that are greater than 5000 and have generated exceptions.
  5. Click Save. A confirmation message is displayed. The summary for the rule will be displayed on the third level of the Exceptions page
