Modify appearance

This category of parameters has the following edit options :

  • Name and Description : Edit the name and description of the graph or panel.
  • Show Description : Select this check box to display the text from the panel description field directly on the panel.

The description text can be useful when further clarification is needed to describe the content of the panel as the name of the panel alone may not provide enough details.

  • Enable Drill Down : In case of Authorizations Insights, it is possible to drill down from the Violation by Status graph. Select the check box Enable drill down to enable a user to access further details behind the graph.

Clicking the link on the graph on the Dashboard Home page will take you to the Violation Browser to view the details of the violations. This setting is controlled by the Administrator or Dashboard Manager.

  • Show Legend : Select this check box to enable you to label the sets of data displayed on the graph or panel. Depending on the selected graph or panel there may be one or more series of data displayed.
  • Show Point Labels : Select this check box to display the specific values of each data point, directly on the graph or panel.
Note:  Displaying specific values may not be legible if the data set is too large and too many data point values are displayed.
  • Axis Labels : Provide names or labels for the X-axis and the Y-axis. These names may be required to describe the results displayed in the graphs better. To remove the names of the X-axis and the Y-axis , delete the content of each text box.
  • Type and Color : Use the Chart Type field to change the type of graph that is used to display your data. Data can be displayed using any of the available types of charts. Additionally, you can change the color of the chart displayed.

From the Graph Color drop-down list, select a specific color of your choice. All bars (for example) in a panel will be displayed in the same color. If you choose the option Default Palette, the bars in a panel will be displayed in a series of colors, alternating for each data point.

Note:  Spline and area graphs require more than one value (or one point), otherwise, the graph will be blank.
