Changing the database access account

Once Studio is installed, you can reduce the privileges required to access the database as follows:

User 2 Access database after configuration SQL Server Following privileges on Studio database:
  • db_datareader
  • db_datawriter
  • db_owner
  1. Go to Start > Programs > Infor Risk & Compliance > Infor Risk & Compliance Studio Database Configuration. The Database Configuration screen is displayed.
  2. Provide the credentials of the user who will access the database. If you are only changing the database account, do not change the database server or name.

    Provide the following details on the database configuration screen as described below.

    Database Server
    Leave as previously defined.
    Database Name
    Leave as previously defined.
    Note: When you retain the existing Database server and Database name, the system displays a confirmation message. Click Yes to proceed.
    SQL Server Credentials
    Select an authentication to create and access the database and the credentials required:
    • If you select Integrated Authentication, Studio will use the currently logger in user credentials to access the database.
    • If you select SQL Authentication, the User Name and Password fields are enabled. Provide the credentials of the user accessing the database.

    Once the Studio database access has been updated you will see the confirmation message.

  3. Click Yes.
