Configuration

To configure, create a connection in the SQL developer.
Note:  If the Connection frame is not displayed, navigate to the View menu and select Connections.

  1. In the Connections frame click the plus sign. Alternatively, click the arrow next to the green button, select New Connection.
  2. In the New/Select Database Connection window, enter the connection name, user name, password, connection type, role, hostname, port, SID/service name and click Test to verify.
  3. To open the SQL Worksheet:
    1. Select a database connection.
    2. Right-click the appropriate connection and choose Open SQL Worksheet from the menu.

      The SQL Worksheet has two panes:

      • SQL statements are entered into the upper pane.
      • Results are displayed in the lower pane.
