How to Enable Remote Connections in the Database Settings

Enable remote connections in the Database Settings as follows:

  1. Go to Start > Programs > Microsoft SQL Server.
  2. Click SQL Server Management Studio. Connect to the server.
  3. On the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio screen, right click the server name on the object explorer.
  4. Click Properties. The Server Properties screen is displayed.
  5. From the left panel, click Connections.
  6. On the Remote Server Connections field, select the Allow remote connections to this server checkbox.
  7. Click OK.
