Additional user attribute write-back settings

Additional user attribute values that are configured in the AdditionalUserAttributes AdditionalUserAttributes_Orcl.xml may be modified while creating a Responsibility Assignment request.

The following configuration setting in the WritebackConfig.xml enables you to define whether these modifications should overwrite the existing attribute values in Oracle when the requested changes are written back in Oracle.

Configure the xml as:

Configuration settings

You have the following configuration options:

  • Never - The additional user attribute values in Oracle will always be retained.
  • Detect – If the additional user attribute values specified in the Responsibility Assignment request are different from the additional user attribute values in IRC, the validity dates from the request will overwrite the additional attributes in Oracle.
  • Always - The additional user attribute values specified in the Responsibility Assignment request will always overwrite the additional attributes of these users in Oracle.
Default The default value is Always.
