Ensuring the MaxQueryString request filter is configured
The MaxQueryString Request Filter specifies the upper limit of the query string length that the configured IIS server allows for the websites or applications. It is recommended that you specify a value to limit the amount of data that can be accepted in a query string.
- Access the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
- Click on the connection, the site, the application, or the directory to be configured, in the Connections section.
- Double-click the Request Filtering option in the Home section.
- Click the Edit Feature Settings in the Actions section.
- Specify the value 2048 in the Maximum query string (Bytes) field in the Request Limits section.
