About GRC integration kit publishing framework
The publishing framework, the main attribute of the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) integration kit, is a means for the third parties to integrate applications with IRC.
Note: The publishing framework refers to all external systems that integrate and exchange data
with IRC as publishing targets. This term will be used throughout the document to refer
generically to all such systems integrating with IRC.
Typical publishing targets are compliance documentation systems which can pull integration context data by leveraging this Publishing Framework. Typical integration context data that will be used by these documentation systems will center on rule book, rule, analyses and violation reports.
The publishing framework exposes a rich set of Web Services for a target system to:
- Discover metadata or types of objects that can be published into IRC such as rules, reports, analyses and so on.
- Get specific object values from IRC.
- Publish object values into IRC.
