Browser settings
This section describes the recommended browser settings for Certification Manager that must be configured on the user’s browser.
- Internet Explorer
Recommendation Configuration Add Certification Manager Server URL to the Trusted Sites list - Go to .
- Navigate to the Security tab and choose Trusted Sites. Click on the button.
- In the Add this Web site to the zone: text box, type the Certification Manager server name with the FQDN (fully qualified domain name) and click .
- Select the Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone check box if the Certification Manager URL is secured.
- Click .
Allow automatic pop-ups This setting is required because Certification Manager opens some of its web page in a new window.
- Open Internet Explorer .
- Click Address of website to allow box, type the address (or URL) of the website you want to see pop-ups from, and then click . For example: server.approva.net, *.approva.net . , and then click . In the
- Repeat step 3 for every website you want to allow pop-ups from. When you are finished adding websites, click .
If your Certification Manager setup is in Integrated Authentication mode, verify these settings - On Internet Explorer, click .
- Click on the Security tab.
- Select the .
- Click and scroll down to the bottom.
- Under User Authentication, select Prompt for user name and password.
- Click
Automatic prompting for file downloads Certification Manager enables a user to download the data in the exported format, based on the roles defined for that user. The following settings must be configured to allow the user to download the files:
- In Internet Explorer, click .

There are four security zones listed:
- Internet
- Local intranet
- Trusted sites
- Restricted sites
- Click the zone where you want to change the settings.
- Under Security
level for this zone, click

- In the Hostname pattern text box, type the address (or URL) of the website you want to see pop-ups fromx, and then select allow and then click Add. For example: server.approva.net, *.approva.net.
