What is BizRights Interchange Format?

IRC supports an additional method to extract offline data - from BizRights Interchange Format. BizRights Interchange Format represents a set of .BEZ files which are the encrypted versions of .XML files containing data extracted from the PeopleSoft AI Financial ERP systems or ERP systems matching theAuthorizations Insight for PeopleSoft FISCM entity model. This document explains how to generate the BizRights Interchange Format XML files for these systems. The current version of BizRights Interchange Format XML supports only the security model data (Authorizations Insight for PeopleSoft FISCM) for IRC.

Extraction in IRC is the process of acquiring information from the managed applications. The frequency with which extraction is performed is controlled by Windows scheduler on IRC Services server. Extraction collects application security related information on users, roles, permission lists, menus, components, pages and the inter-relation of these entities and serves it to IRC Services in an IRC generic format.

Once you have created the XML files and populated it with data from the managed applications, the data present in these files must be made available in IRC for analysis and reports. The figure describes the place of integration of these XML files and the process of extracting data from these files into IRC.
