What is BizRights Interchange Format?

IRC supports an additional method to extract offline data - from BizRights Interchange Format (BIF). BIF represents a set of BEZ files which are the encrypted versions of XML files containing data extracted from the Oracle ERP systems or ERP systems matching the Oracle security model.

Extraction in IRC is the process of acquiring information from the managed applications. The frequency of extraction is controlled by Windows Scheduler on the IRC Services server. Extraction collects application security related information about users, responsibilities, menus, and functions as well as the relationship between these entities and passes it on to IRC Services in an IRC generic format.

Once you have created the XML files and populated them with data from the managed applications, the data present in these files must be made available in IRC for analysis and reports. The figure describes the place of integration of these XML files and the process of extracting data from these files into IRC.
