Background extraction using IRC Add-on

Large objects such as Accounting Document_Segment require a significant amount of time to extract. For such objects, IRC Add-on can be set to background mode. IRC Add-on uses SAP background processes to retrieve data from SAP tables. The data is processed into an XML format and stored in a set of four temporary tables in SAP. IRC retrieves the XMLs using a Remote Function Call, reducing database load on key SAP tables and overcoming RFC timeout issues.
