Stopping a background job

A background task in SAP may need to be stopped for any of the following reasons:

When a IRC extraction is stopped through IRC Task Manager or by restarting IRC windows services
If there is a network failure and extraction cannot continue
The BASIS administrator needs to stop extraction and perform another high priority task
SAP needs to be restarted

Note: The /BIZRIGHT/DEE_CLEANUP_REPORT is required to run at least on a nightly basis (based on the frequency of extractions) and should not be stopped. This report will clean up the tables for failed extractions.
