Adding Custom Reports for IRC

To add a custom report for IRC:

  1. Execute the utility from [Install Path]\Core\Bin.
  2. Click the Add Report link on the left panel of the screen. The system displays the Add Report to IRC tab on the right panel.
  3. Select a report category corresponding to a custom report you want to upload. You have these options:
    • Select an existing IRC category from the list. Select an existing Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (MSSSRS) folder from the list. In this case, proceed directly to step 5.
    • Create a new report category. If you select this option, the utility prompts for a new category name.
    Note: The category name must not contain these special characters: ? \\ : * | ( ) ! @ # $ % ^ “ ‘ /> < . ; ,
  4. Specify an SQL Server Reporting Services Folder field:
    • Select an existing Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (MSSSRS) folder from the list.
    • Create a new MSSSRS folder. If you select this option, the utility prompts for a new SQL Server Reporting Services name.
Note: When creating a new custom report category, the Report Category name and the SQL Server Reporting Services Folder name must be the same. Else, the utility displays an error message when you delete the report.
  5. Select the file to be uploaded in the Select .rdl or .zip File field. Click Browse to search for the file.
  6. Click Browse to select the SQL file in the elect Stored Procedure Script File field. The SQL file must contain scripts to create the database objects required by the RDL files. If you upload a report without an SQL file, the utility displays a warning message.
  7. Select Yes to upload the report. However, if the report is dependent on the script file, it will not run.
  8. Click Add to publish the custom IRC report. A confirmation message is displayed.
  9. Turn on the anonymous access on the Report and Report Server virtual directories in the Internet Information Services (IIS).

Any exception or error encountered during upload is logged at [Install Path]\core\logs.
