Types of extraction

There are two types of data extractions:

• Full extraction: In a full extraction, all the data in the applicable ERP tables are extracted into the IRC database. Data from any previous extractions is overwritten by the latest extraction. This type of extraction can be used if you want to refresh your data, if a previous extraction has failed, or if you encounter internal problems. The first extraction is always a full extraction.
• Incremental Extraction: In an incremental extraction only the data that has changed since the previous extraction is extracted from the ERP application. This extraction significantly reduces the extraction time and only extracts changes that have occurred in the data for a specified date range. For details, see the Infor Risk & Compliance Online Help.
