Analysis settings for process insights

To process insights such as Procure-to-Pay, General Ledger, Order-to-Cash, Inventory or Payroll go to Settings > Configuration > Infor Risk & Compliance System > Settings - Process Insights section. Each of these insights have the potential to generate a huge number of exceptions.

For optimum system performance, limit the number of exceptions displayed in the report, by prioritizing the exceptions.

  • BCP chunk size

You can determine how many rows of data (a chunk) are written to the database at a time. Reduce the number in the BCP chunk size for exception writer in MB setting, if your exceptions are taking a long time to complete.

  • MAX exception settings
    • For all exceptions, irrespective of:

By default, approximately 10,000 exceptions are displayed in reports and on the exception browser. If this number is exceeded, too many exceptions may have to be mitigated at one time. You can scope down the analysis even further to mitigate 5000 or even 1000 exceptions at a time.

You can increase this value to display more exceptions per analysis, but this results in slowing down the amount of time taken by the exception browser pages to load, and for your exception reports to be written.

    • MAX exception by priority

You can set the number of exceptions limit by the rule priority, so that the exceptions that are returned contain a greater number of high priority exceptions, and a lesser number of informational exceptions.

Set the MAX Exceptions with priority to low/medium/high/informational to distribute the way you want your exceptions to be displayed.

These settings override the MAX exception for All types of priorities setting

    • Self assign exceptions while closing

Select this check box to automatically assign an exception to a user trying to close the exception. This option does not apply to assigned exceptions. This check box is not selected ,by default

If an analysis reaches the exception limit, a notification is displayed on the exception report. This notification is not displayed on the Exception browser.
