Schedule System Downtime

While performing routine maintenance activities on your Certification Manager system, you may need the system to be temporarily unavailable to users. This page enables you to create a system downtime schedule and display a warning message to users who sign in so that they are warned about how long the system is unavailable.

System downtime can be scheduled only once for a specific period of time. For example, if a user has scheduled a system downtime task for a specific time (For example, on 2nd September' 09 at 3pm - 4pm), and if another user tries to create a system downtime task for the same time and on the same day, then Certification Manager displays a message alerting the second user that system downtime has already been scheduled for that time.

Note:  If the timings of a data import task for a data source, import users task or a task to execute a process conflict with the timings of a system downtime task, Certification Manager displays a warning message during the creation of the system downtime task. If required, you can change the start and end time of that particular system downtime task.
