Additional user attribute write-back settings

Additional user attribute values that are configured in the AdditionalUserAttributes.xml may be modified while creating a Role Assignment request.

The configuration setting in the SAMIWritebackConfig.xml enables you to define whether these modifications must overwrite the existing attribute values in SAP when the requested changes are written back in SAP.

Configuration settings You have these configuration options:
  • Never - The additional user attribute values in SAP will be retained when the changes suggested in the request are written back in the ERP system.
  • Detect – If the additional user attribute values specified in the Role Assignment request are different from the additional user attribute values in IRC, the validity dates from the request will overwrite the validity dates in SAP.
  • Always - The additional user attribute values specified in the Role Assignment request will always overwrite the validity dates of these users in SAP.
Default The default value is Always.
