Reset password settings

The Reset SAP Password page on the user interface enables authorized SAP users to reset their passwords through IRC and automatically have their user accounts unlocked if the accounts were locked due to invalid login attempts. The ResetPasswordConfiguration.xml file contains all the parameter settings required for the reset password feature.

All fields may be modified except <Application adapterType=”2”>. This node specifies the type of SAP adapter from which the data is extracted. The value for this parameter should always be 2.

You can configure these settings through the Configuration page on the user interface (Settings > Configuration > Access Management > User Creation Options):

• Auto generate password
• Minimum number of characters allowed in the password
• Maximum number of characters allowed in the password
• Minimum number of alphabets required in the password
• Minimum number of special characters required in the password
• Minimum number of digits required in the password
• Minimum number of lower case alphabets in the password
• Minimum number

• Refresh interval
• Retry limit
• Characters with which the password should not begin
• Characters that should not be repeated
