Create or Modify a Scheduled Task

This page enables you to create schedules for the following tasks in Certification Manager:

  • Import data from a data source: Provide the required information on the following panels to create a scheduled task to import data source data:
    • General Information: Use this panel to provide the following general information about the task:
      1. Provide a unique name to identify the task. The name specified here cannot be modified later.
      2. Provide a description for this task.
    • Scope : Select the required data source from which data is to be imported.

      In the free text box, enter the name of the required data source in full or in part. All data sources matching the search criteria are displayed. Select the required data source.  Alternatively, click the Browse icon and select the required data sources.

      To select all the data sources available in the system select the check box All.

      To remove a selected data sources, select the data sources to be removed and click the Remove icon.

    • Schedule: You have 2 options to schedule a date and time for the task to be executed.
      • Select Run now to execute the task immediately.
      • Select Run Later to set a date and time for the task to be executed. When you select this option:
      1. A calendar and timer are displayed where you can select a specific date and time for the task to begin.
      2. From the Recurrence drop-down list, select the required recurrence option. If you select Never,  the task is executed only once. If you select Daily, the task recurs daily. If you select Weekly or Monthly; then you need to provide the weekday or the specific day of the month for the task to recur.
        Note:  If you select the Monthly option and set the schedule to recur every 4 months, some occurrences may not be displayed on the schedules calendar.
      3. If required, set an end date of the task on the Set End Date panel after which the task does not recur.
      4. Click Save.
  • Import users: The options to import users vary depending on the authentication scheme selected while installing Certification Manager. Users can be imported from this page as well as from the Security page.

    The authentication schemes and their user import options are listed in the table below:

    Authentication Scheme User Import Options
    Active Directory (AD) Authentication

    You have the following options to import users:

    Import all Active Directory users

    • Import Active Directory users from a CSV file
    • Import all Infor Risk & Compliance users; if both Infor Risk & Compliance and Certification Manager use Active Directory authentication and if Infor Risk & Compliance server settings are configured in Certification Manager.

    Certification Manager (CM) Authentication

     

    The Super User account is used to import users by uploading the person.csv file. Upload the manager.csv file to define user-manager mapping.

    Provide the required information on the following panels to create a scheduled task to import users:

    • General Information : Provide the following general information about the import task:
      1. Provide a unique name to identify this task. The name specified here cannot be modified later.
      2. Provide a description for this task.
    • Schedule :Use this panel to schedule a date and time for the import task to be executed.

      You have 2 options:

      • Select Run now to execute the task immediately.
      • Select Run Later to set a date an time for the task to be executed. When you select this option:
      1. A calendar and timer are displayed where you can select a specific date and time for the task to begin.
      2. From the Recurrence drop-down list, select the required recurrence option. If you select Never the task is executed only once. If you select Daily the task recurs daily. If you select Weekly or Monthly, then you need to provide the weekday or the specific day of the month for the task to recur.

      3. Set the end date of the task on the Set End Date panel after which the task does not recur.
      4. Click Save.
  • Execute a process

    Processes can be executed from this page as well as from the Processes page. Provide the required information on the following panels to create a scheduled task to execute a process:

    • General Information: Provide the following general information about the task:
      1. Provide a unique name to identify this schedule. The name specified here cannot be modified later.
      2. Provide a description for this task.
    • Scope: Use this panel to select the required processes as follows:
      1. In theProcesses autosuggest text box, type in part of the process name. A drop-down list displays all process names matching the search criteria. Select the required process. Alternatively, click the Browse icon to browse for and select the required processes.
      2. ClickOK. To select all the processes available in the system, select the check box All.

      To remove a selected process, select the process to be removed and click the Remove icon.

      This panel also allows you to:

      • Define the completion time for occurrences of the selected processes. All occurrences should be completed within the specified number of days.
      • Disable email notifications for this schedule. By default, theEnable Notification check box is selected. If you do not wish to receive email notifications for this scheduled task, clear this check box.
    • Schedule: Use this panel to schedule a date and time for the review process to be executed.

      You have 2 options:

      • Select Run now to execute the process immediately.
      • Select Run Later to set a date an time for the process to be executed. When you select this option:
      1. A calendar and timer are displayed where you can select a specific date and time for the process to begin.
      2. From the Recurrence drop-down select the required recurrence option. If you select Never the process is executed only once. If you select Daily the process recurs daily. If you select Weekly or Monthly, then you need to provide the weekday or the specific day of the month for the process to recur.
        Note:  If you select the Monthly option and set the schedule to recur every 4 months, some occurrences may not be displayed on the schedules calendar.
      3. Set the end date of the task on the Set End Date panel.
      4. Click the Save icon. The selected processes is executed at the defined time.
