Create New Process - Filters
The Filters tab enables you to define filters to scope down the data to be reviewed in the process.
By default, all the objects imported into Certification Manager from the selected data sources are selected.

tab: You may apply filter to scope the primary review objects as well as the
secondary review objects on their respective panels. The names of these panels
are the names of the primary and secondary objects specified in the selected
review type.
For example, for an SAP User/Role process, you can apply filters on the following panels:

SAP Account panel
You have the following options to scope down review objects on this panel:
- Select Filters to scope the user accounts to be reviewed by using filters. Specify the required filter criteria and click the icon. When multiple filters can be selected, the data is evaluated using the AND operator. The selected user accounts are displayed on the panel below. To remove a filter click the icon. To preview the scoped objects and their details click the icon . Filters are not case-sensitive. For example, if you type in a name beginning with 'a', the search displays names beginning with both 'a' and 'A'.
- Select Manual Selection to manually select specific objects and generate reviews for these objects only. Click the icon to display the list of user accounts from the selected data sources. Select the required user accounts and click . The selected user accounts are displayed on the panel below.

SAP Role panel
You have the following options to scope the roles to be reviewed on this panel:
- Select None Assigned. If you select this option, reviews for all the users that do not have roles assigned are generated. Similarly, for other types of review process, all the primary review objects that do not have the secondary review object are selected to participate in the review process. This option is not applicable for custom processes.
- Select Filters to scope the roles to be reviewed by applying filters. Specify the required filter criteria and click the icon. When multiple filters can be selected, the data is evaluated using the logical AND operator. Click the icon to delete a filter. To preview the scoped roles and their details click the icon . Filters are not case-sensitive. For example, if you type in a name beginning with 'a', the search displays names beginning with both 'a' and 'A'.
- Select Manual to manually select specific roles. Click the icon to view all the roles imported from the selected data sources. Select the required roles and click .
Click Drafts tab or click to proceed to the Reviewers tab.

For example, User A having Role 1 and Role 2 assigned is selected in the SAP Account panel and Role 1 which is assigned to User A and User B is selected in the SAP Role panel. This process generates the following reviews:
- Review Role 1 assigned to User A
- Review Role 2 assigned to User A
- Review Role 1 assigned to User B

Filters for all the other processes follow a similar pattern, where you need to
specify filters to scope down the primary objects and the secondary objects.
The filters available depend on the review type and the data source selected to create the process as shown in the table below:
