Application Schemas
Certification Manager ships with standard application schemas and also enables you to create custom schemas depending on your requirement.
You can add multiple review objects to custom application schema and also create multiple review types using these objects. This gives users the convenience to create multiple review processes using a single application schema. For example, if you create an application schema with account, role and asset as objects, you can create the following review types for this application schema:
Review Type | Primary Review Object | Secondary Review Object | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Account-Role Review Type | Account | Role | This review type enables you to review roles assigned to accounts. |
Role-Account Review Type | Role | Account | This review type enables you to review all the accounts assigned a particular role. |
Account-Asset Review Type | Account | Asset | This review type enables you to review assets given to accounts. |
Role-Asset Review Type | Role | Asset | This review type enables you to review assets given to roles. |

The Application Schemas Page: This page lists standard as well as custom application schemas created in Certification Manager with details such as the name, description, data sources and the processes associated with the application schema.
- If multiple data sources are created for an application schema, the data source name is displayed as a hyperlink in the Data Sources column. Click the hyperlink to view all the data sources created for that application schema.
- The link New Data Source is displayed next to an application schema in the Data Sources column if data sources for that application schema have not yet been created. Click this link to navigate to the New Data Source page where you can create a new data source for the application schema. However, this link is not displayed next to an application schema if all the parameters required to create the application schema are not specified and the schema is saved as a draft.
