View Individual Exceptions

When you click a rule name link, you drill down to the second level pop-up window to display the objects that have generated exceptions to that rule. For example, a rule to detect Purchase Orders created on the same day as the Goods Receipt will display a list of all Purchase Orders. Other supporting information displayed on this view includes:
  • Object ID

This column displays the primary violating object in the rule. Depending on the object being reviewed, this column name will change. For example, if the violating object is a Purchase Order, the column name will read Purchase Order name. Click on the object link to view the object details.

  • Connection

This column displays the connection name through which data has been extracted for analysis.

  • Reasons

his column shows a count of the number of details behind the exception. An exception may occur due to one or more reasons. Typically when more than one reason is indicated it relates to a rule that is comparing line items for a particular object.

  • Expression Value

This column is specific to math rules and displays calculated values of exceptions for math expressions. For all the other rule types, this column remains NA.

Note: For math rules with two or more groups, this column displays the maximum calculated value of exceptions.
  • Amount

This is the amount of potential risk for the listed objects. Amount is a calculated field that varies based on the object. For example, if the object is a Purchase Order, the amount field represents the sum of all line items in that purchase order. Objects displayed with a value of NA reflect an amount that is not calculated by Infor Risk & Compliance.

  • Summary

This column contains a brief description of the object involved in the exception. This is used to better understand the exceptions prior to seeing the details behind it. The rule summary needs to be configured through the Rule Summary tab while creating a Process rule.

  • % Match

This column is specific to fuzzy rules and displays the % match for duplicates.

  • Mitigation Status

This column displays an icon representing the current status of the exception. The status may be any of the following:

    • Closed: These exceptions have been documented and closed. These exceptions will no longer appear in the default view of your exception browser, but can be viewed by selecting 'All' or 'Closed' in the Mitigation Status filter.
    • Open: These exceptions have been discovered by Infor Risk & Compliance, but are not yet assigned to anyone for review. Exceptions are put into this category when they are first found and an action must be taken to move them from this category to another.
    • Under Review: Such exceptions are assigned to a particular person (name displayed next to the icon).
    • In Discussion: Such exceptions are assigned to a particular person and they are awaiting response from someone else.
    • In Discussion, Urgent: Same as above, but tagged with the Urgent flag for filtering purposes.
  • Reviewer

This column displays the name of the reviewer to whom the exception is assigned. Reviewers can mitigate exceptions, add comments, assign exceptions or initiate a discussion with other reviewers. If the reviewer has initiated discussion on an exception with someone, that will also be displayed in this column. The comments column indicated with an icon,  captures the status of comments for that exception. Click the icon to view the history of comments

  • Comments

The final column captures the status of comments for that exception. Comments are indicated by an icon. Click the icon to view the history of comments. The date and time displayed in the comments box  is according to the time zone defined on the Preferences page.

The rule name itself is displayed as a hyperlink at the top of  the pop-up window if the signed-in user has the appropriate permissions and ownership to view the rule details. Users without the required permissions will see the rule name but the hyperlink is deactivated.

Click the rule name link to view the rule definition so that you have the full context of the findings. Note that the rule displayed here is a snapshot of the rule taken at the time of rule analysis. The snapshot taken will depend on the analysis selected in the filters used to scope the rule exceptions. By default, all analyses are selected, in which case the snapshot will be of the latest analysis. Any keywords, compensating controls or exceptions attached to the rule after the snapshot was taken will not be visible. Modifications will be visible only after the rule is re-analyzed.

On the Conditions tab of the rule details page, click Add/Remove Rule Conditions to view the rule conditions in a read-only format.
