Background extraction

The Process Insight for SAP and Authorizations Insight for SAP support background extraction.

Background extraction means that SAP uses a background process to extract data instead of a dialog connection. This type of extraction uses DEE 4.5 to extract data.

The advantage of using background extraction is that it limits the possibility of time out issues for large objects such as ADSegment.

You can perform the background extraction only by using the xml file SAPBackgroundDEESettings.xml. For details, see the SAP - Configuration Settings guide.

Note: This feature is available if:

DEE 4.5 is installed on the SAP system from which the data is extracted
The SAP version is 4.7 or higher.
