Impact on existing Extractions

After scoping your extraction based on rule books, existing extraction schedules, for an Insight, are modified based on the scoping. The next extraction for the same Insight will also be a scoped extraction. The new schedules created after the scoping will extract only those objects based on the scoping. It is, however, possible to override this setting and select other objects manually from the Objects list when scheduling extractions.

Note: It is possible only to override objects and not the fields within these objects. If only specific fields from an object are included in the extraction because of the rule book scoping, you cannot include the other fields from the Extraction page.

After the extraction has been completed, the extracted data should be analyzed only with the rules on which the extraction was based. If the extracted data is used with different rules, there may be objects required that are missing and results of such an analysis may be unpredictable.
