Importing Compensating Control

The Importing a compensating control feature is useful if you want to use compensating controls that are created by other users, compensating controls created on other Infor Risk & Compliance servers, or if you want to use compensating controls available on your server on some other Infor Risk & Compliance servers.

Import compensating controls as follows:

  1. Click the More Actions icon and click Import to display the Import Compensating Controls window.
  2. Click Browse to locate for and select the file (.xml or .zip) to be imported.
  3. Click the Upload icon to upload the selected file.
    The Import Compensating Controls pop-window is displayed.
  4. Provide a name for the task to identify it on the Tasks page or on the Import / Export page.
    This will generate a single output file.
  5. Select the Import All Compensating Controls check box to import all the compensating controls contained in the imported file.
  6. To import specific compensating controls, click the required compensating control on the Import File Content panel. You can also use the search filter to search for specific compensating controls.
  7. When importing a compensating control that already exists on your application server, select one of the following import options:
    • Create Copy:

      The compensating control from the import file will be imported with the same name with copy(1)* appended to it.

    • Keep Existing:

      The compensating control present in the application will be retained and the compensating control from the import file will not be imported.

    • Overwrite from Import file:

      The compensating control from the import file will overwrite the compensating control already present in the application.

  8. Click Import.
    The imported file is listed on the Import / Export page and on the Compensating Controls page.
    Note: If a rule has compensating controls associated with it and if that rule is imported into the application, then the compensating controls associated with it are also imported.
