Assign connection, rule or rule book ownership to a user

Users can, at any time, be assigned ownership of a connection, rule book, rule or parameter list. While users do not require any specific roles for ownership to be assigned , they must be assigned roles with the appropriate permissions before they can perform any action on the owned object.

In the case of rule books and rules, users may be rule or rule book owners or business process owners. While both rule or rule book owners and business process owners can take action on the rules or rule books that they own, rule or rule book owners can, additionally,  add other rule or rule book owners or business process owners.

If users are assigned ownership of a rule book, they also automatically own the rules in that rule book. If however,  users are assigned ownership of a rule, they have ownership rights over only that rule and cannot modify or delete the other rules in the rule book.

  1. To assign a user ownership of a connection, rule, rule book or parameter list, click the user name link. The page for that specific user is displayed.
