Mapping connection users

You can map users extracted from this connection to Active Directory or Infor Risk & Compliance Application Security users as follows :

  1. On the New Connection page, select one of the following options.
    • Map connection users: Select this option to map users from this connection to Active Directory. Mapped users can sign into Infor Risk & Compliance, if they are assigned appropriate roles. When you select this option you can :
      • Merge users extracted from multiple connections into a single profile : When you create a connection with the option Map users selected and then perform an extraction, Infor Risk & Compliance fetches users from this connection, checks if the same user names exist in any other connections and merges users (from different connections) with the same user name into a single profile.

Users mapped in this way  participate in cross connection analysis.

      • Map ERP users to Active Directory or Infor Risk & Compliance Application Security users in Infor Risk & Compliance: When you create a connection with the option Map users selected, and then perform an extraction, the extracted users are mapped to Active Directory  users. Active Directory users will be extracted for all ERP extractions.

Users will be mapped on the basis of the mapping criteria specified while creating the connection.

Note: If automatic role assignment is turned ON, mapped users will be visible on the User Management tab of the Security page.
      • Map users from a legacy system into Infor Risk & Compliance using SAP, Oracle or PeopleSoft security models : Infor Risk & Compliance enables you to easily map users from a legacy system to Infor Risk & Compliance using either SAP, Oracle or PeopleSoft as a security model. You can also specify the mapping criteria for Active Directory users.

To do this you need to extract data from the legacy system using the Portable Data Extractor (PDE) and then import the connection into Infor Risk & Compliance by uploading the .beu output file generated.

      • Configure multiple mapping criteria through the user interface: While creating a new connection, you have the option to select Active Directory criteria on which users should be mapped. The Active Directory Mapping Field drop-down list provides a list of options to be mapped against the ERP Mapping field. If multiple mapping criteria are selected, users can set the priority for the mapping by using the up/down arrows provided. Mapping will be performed by priority from the highest to the lowest.
Note:  For Infor Risk & Compliance Application Security authentication, the default criteria will be userloginname = ERP Mapping Field. The user is not required to explicitly specify any criteria.
    • Do not map connection users: If the option Do not map users , is selected, users are not mapped. An independent profile is created for each user, even if a user name occurs in multiple connections. Unmapped users cannot sign into Infor Risk & Compliance.
  2. Click the Mapping Criteria tab to select the criteria against which ERP users are mapped with AD users
Note: In a Infor Risk & Compliance Application Security authentication setup, users are automatically mapped. The default criteria will be userloginname = ERP Mapping Field. Specific mapping criteria cannot be selected for Infor Risk & Compliance Application Security authentication.

The ERP mapping field will be displayed . From the Active Directory Mapping Field drop-down list, select the criteria on the basis of which the users will be mapped.
