Apply Filters to Scope Violations

By default, the Violations page displays violations for all rule books and rules owned by you (the signed in user). You can also view the violations assigned to you (the signed-in user) by clicking on the counts displayed on To Do of the scorecard.

Note: If the violation cap defined on the Configuration page is hit during an analysis, a notification that the violations cap is hit is not displayed on this page.

Filters can help you to scope violations so that you view only those violations that you require. For example, you can use filters to view violations for a specific analysis. Once you select your filters you can save them and reuse them at a later date.

Select filters as follows:

  1. Click the Expand icon to expand the Filters panel.
  2. Select any of the filters listed below.
    • Filter Name

      Provide a name to identify the filter. This is the name by which you can identify the filters on the Saved Filters tab when you wish to reuse

      .
    • Connection Type

      From the drop-down list, select the ERP connection from which data was analyzed. Violations for the analyzed data will be displayed .

    • Insight

      This field is displayed only if the connection type selected is PeopleSoft. Select the required Insight from the drop-down list.

      For SAP connections, select one of the following options to scope analyses:
      • All Analyses: By default, results of all analyses are displayed on the Violations page.
      • Preceding: Use this option to select any preceding analysis filtered by the unit(time period). For example, if you select the Unit as Minutes and the Number of Units as 10, then the analysis that was performed 10 minutes ago is considered.
      • Custom Date Range: Use this option to select the analyses performed in a specific time period. To use this option, you must specify the start date and time and the end date and time. All analyses performed in the specified period is considered.
    • Analysis: The Analysis drop-down lists all the analyses for the selected connection type and the filters applied. Select the required analysis to view violations generated for that analysis. The date and time displayed next to the analysis name is according to the local time zone defined on the Preferences page. To view violations for only the latest analysis, select the check box Always use latest analysis and click Save Filters. This check box is applicable only if the filter is saved and reused from the Saved filters tab.
    • Priority

      By default, violations will be displayed for all rules.

      To select a specific rule priority:
      1. Clear the check-box All.
      2. From the drop-down list, select the required rule priority.
      3. Click the Add icon. Violations will be displayed only for rules with the selected priority.
    • Rule Format

      By default, violations will be displayed for all rule formats associated with the selected ERP application. To select a specific rule format:

      1. Clear the All check box.
      2. From the drop-down list, select the desired rule format.
      3. Click the Add icon. The selected rule format appears in the Rule Format field.
    • Exclusion

      These filter options are recommended only if you select a specific analysis from the Analysis drop-down field.

      When you select a specific analysis, the exclusion option selected while scheduling the analysis is displayed in the Exclusion drop-down list. This enables you to select either all users, only excluded users, or only users not excluded.

    • Display

      From the drop-down list, select one of the following options:

      • All Violations - Select this option to view all violations generated for the selected analysis. In this case, you will have to select the check box All in the Connections field.
      • Cross Connection Violations: Select this option if the connections in the selected analysis have mapped users. In this case, in the Connections drop-down list, you will have to select all the connections where the user exists. Infor Risk & Compliance will merge all the users into a single profile name and violations will be displayed against this name.
      • Violations from Specific Connection: Select this option to view violations for a particular connection that has participated in the selected analysis. In this case, you need to provide a specific connection name that does not have mapped users.
      Note: If users are manually mapped, violations will be displayed by the mapped user name and not the ERP user name. For details on mapped users and manual mapping, refer to the topic Connections.
    • Rule Books

      By default, violations will be displayed for all rule books participating in the selected analysis.

      Note: The signed in user should either be a rule book owner or a business process owner to view the rule books.
      To view violations for a specific rule book:
      1. Clear the All check box.
      2. Type in part of the rule book name in the autosuggest text box. All rule book names matching the search criteria will be displayed. Select the required rule book. Alternatively, click the Browse icon and select the desired rule book and click OK.
    • Rules

      By default, violations will be displayed for all rules participating in the selected analysis.

      Note: The signed in user should either be a rule owner or a business process owner to view the rules.
      To view violations for specific rules:
      1. Clear the All check box.
      2. Type in part of the rule name in the autosuggest text box. All rule names matching the search criteria will be displayed. Select the required rule. Alternatively, click the Browse icon  to browse for and select the desired rule and click OK.
    • Connections

      By default, violations will be displayed for all connections used in the selected analysis. Depending on the option selected

      in the Display field, select connection as follows:
      1. Clear the check box All.
      2. From the drop-down list select the desired connection.
      3. Click the Add icon. Violations generated for data extracted from the selected connection will be displayed.
      Note: In case of secured connections, users signed into Infor Risk & Compliance will be able to view and use only those connections that they have access to.
    • Parameter Lists

      Select the required parameter lists to view the violating objects from the selected parameter lists. This filter is not displayed if the option selected in the Connection Type field is Lawson or Infor.

      Note: The parameter list can be attached only if the signed in user is a parameter list owner.
      By default, all parameter lists are selected. To select specific parameter lists:
      1. Clear the All selection.
      2. From the drop-down list, select the desired parameter list.
      3. Click the Add icon. The selected parameter list appears in the Parameter List field.
    • Mitigation Status

      From the drop-down list, select a mitigation status to view violations with a specific status. By default, only active violations are displayed.

      Use this filter to focus on the following violations:

      • Open Violations : Violations that have not been assigned and need attention.
      • Violations under Review: Violations that are assigned but no actions have been taken so far.
      • In Approval Process: Violations that are in the process of getting approved.
      • Pending Close: Violations that are closed but are not yet finalized.
      • Closed Violations: When rules are deleted, all the violations generated from analyses of these rules are closed.
      • Active Violations: Open violations and violations under review are grouped under this violations.
      • Awaiting response: Violations that are assigned but no response from the approver so far.
    • User Options

      The User Options drop-down list is displayed if the connection selected in the Connection Type drop-down list is Oracle or PeopleSoft. The options available in this drop-down list vary depending on the analysis selected. If you select a specific analysis, the user option selected while scheduling that analysis is displayed in the User Options drop-down list.

      If All analyses are selected, the User Options drop-down list enables you to select all users, only active users or only locked users. By default, the Active Users option is selected.

    • Keywords

      The keyword filter enables you to view violations generated by rules tagged with the selected keywords. Keywords are associated with rules and parameter lists and are used at the time of analysis.

      By default, all keywords participating in the selected analysis will be selected. To select specific keywords:
      1. Clear the All check box.
      2. Type in part of the keyword name in the autosuggest text box. All keywords matching the search criteria will be displayed. Select the required keyword. Alternatively, you can browse and select the desired keyword and click OK. All the violated rules tagged with the selected keywords are displayed.
    The following four options work together and enable you to scope the results based on the objects that were analyzed. These options must be configured to display results.
    • Object Type

      This field displays objects of the selected ERP application that have generated violations in the selected analysis . From the drop-down list, select an object to view the violations generated by that object.

    Click Add Filter to scope the objects that were analyzed. The following fields appear.
    • Attribute

      This filter displays all attributes for the selected object. From the drop-down list, select the required attribute.

    • Operator

      From the drop-down list, select an operator to compare the selected attribute with a defined value.

    • Value

      Provide a value in the text box. Violations that satisfy the specified condition of the object, attribute and value are displayed when you click the Show Results button.

  3. Click Show Results. The details of violations are displayed on the lower panel.

Click Save Filters to re-use the selected filter parameters in future. They will be available on the Saved Filters tab. To delete a saved filter, select the filter to be deleted and click the Delete Filter icon.

Click Reset Filters to set all the filter options to the default values.

Note: Click the Download Data icon to download the information on this page to a CSV format. Information in the CSV file will be displayed in the default format even if it has been sorted on this page.
