Introduction

A user de-provisioning request enables you to create a request to deactivate a user and revoke responsibilities assigned to the same user. After the user de-provisioning request is approved, the Active From and Active To dates for the user responsibility assignment are set to the date of approval.

De-provisioning may be required in cases where an employee leaves the company, or requires only temporary access to Oracle. In such a case, the user account may need to be deactivated and the responsibilities assigned to the user removed.

Note: In Oracle E-Business Suite versions 11.5.10 and above, write-back of Oracle de-provisioning Request disables the direct/parent responsibilities being de-provisioned as well as the indirect / child responsibilities associated with the user when Role Based Access Control (RBAC) is enabled.
