Authorization Change Request

On the Manage menu, click Requests. The Requests page is displayed
Click the New icon. A drop-down list displays a list of requests that can be created for the installed Insights.
Click SAP - Authorization Change. The page for creating this request is displayed.

Introduction

This request type supports only manual completion. Refer to the Configuration page for details.

Create an SAP - Authorization Change Request

An Authorization Change request can also be generated from the following types of What-if Analyses:

If an Authorization Change request is generated from a What-If Analysis for Add Transaction to Role, the request is automatically populated with roles and T-codes and their authorizations/field/values.

General Information

Provide a unique name to identify the request. This name is reflected on the Requests home page.

From the drop-down list, select a priority for the request.

Provide a connection for which the request is being created. If a default connection is specified on the Preferences page, it is displayed by default. You may remove this connection, if you need to specify another connection. This request type does not support multiple connections.

To select a connection, type in part of the connection name in the autosuggest text box. All connection names matching the search criteria will be displayed. Select the required connection. Alternatively, browse and select the desired connection and click OK.

Note: In case of secured connections, users signed into IRC will be able to view and use only those connections that they have access to.

Select the role for which authorizations are to be changed.

To select a role, type in part of the role name. All role names matching the search criteria will be displayed. Select the required role. Alternatively, browse and select the desired role and click OK. The selected role name appears in the Select Role field.

Note: If a request for the selected role is already pending, IRC displays a message informing you the same. You have the option to continue the request, cancel it or select another role.

If the request is continued, approvers will see the message in the Previous Comments section.

Authorizations

This panel displays a list of authorizations associated with the selected role. You may add new authorizations to the role or delete existing authorizations.

To add new authorizations, type in part of the authorizations name. All authorizations from the selected connection and matching the search criteria will be displayed. Select the required authorizations.

Alternatively, browse and select the required authorizations and click OK. The selected authorizations appears in the Authorizations list marked with an icon.

The panel below displays a list of authorizations for the selected role and also enables you to modify attribute values for an authorization.

To modify attribute values:

Click the icon next to an authorization to view its attributes.
Click the icon next to an attribute to see a text box.
Enter a value and click the Add icon. Alternatively, browse for the required attribute value. Select the required value from the Browse Values pop-up window displayed and click OK.

Note:

To undo changes made to a single authorization, click the Undo button next to the authorization on the right.
To undo changes made to multiple authorizations, select the required authorizations and click the Undo button next to the Delete button.

More Details

Provide additional information about the request.

Comments are mandatory if the requestor comments option check box on the Access Management section on the Configuration page is selected.

This tab enables you to send email notifications to request participants or other users at specific stages of a request.

Select any of the request status check boxes next to a user. Email notifications will be sent to that user when the request reaches that status. The option Approval Email Notification ensures that a user is notified whenever a request is posted to that user’s Inbox.
Select the check box Display comments in email notifications, if you want the application to display comments in the notification.
Other users can be notified by selecting the option Others. Provide the email address for the other users in the Other emails text box and click the Add icon.

Note: Email settings are enabled and may be changed only if the check box Override this Option is selected in the Options panel of the Approval Process Templates page.
