Sourcing factors

If a Partner has access to the Sourcing infocluster, the partner can see their Sourcing lines exclusively.

By default, a Sourcing View is available when permission is given. For customized views, you can create a custom view or set columns in the Sourcing page. For assigning permission and views, contact your administrator.

Partners must be set up in the application and a style must have assigned partners.

When sourcing data from Request, consider these factors:

• Only data from Requests with request type Cost or Sample with Cost is displayed in the Sourcing automatically.
• If the Request for Cost or Sample with Cost contains a cost element that is mapped to Purchase Price, the value of the Cost element is reflected as Supplier Purchase Price in Sourcing.
  Note: If no cost element in Request is mapped as Purchase Price, no Sourcing line from this request reflects in Sourcing. Calculated Cost Element tagged as Purchase Price is not supported.
• The existing behavior of Request for Cost or Sample with Cost where a cost column is automatically created in Sourcing is still in place.
• If the Valid From date is not specified in Request, the current date is automatically applied to the Valid From column in Sourcing.

When sourcing data from Costing - No Request, consider these factors:

• Costing columns created without a request are displayed automatically in Sourcing.
• Cost elements in Costing that is mapped to Purchase Price is displayed as the Supplier Purchase Price in Costing.
• Sourcing shows Supplier Purchase Price from Costing based on the Partner's default currency.
• If the Valid From date is not specified in Costing, the current date is automatically applied to the Valid From column in Sourcing.

Users can manually specify these details in Sourcing:

• You can drag and drop a partner in the Sourcing page.
• You can add Sourcing related data after the Sourcing row is created.
• You can manually add Sourcing lines and send it to costing.
• Prerequisites for manually adding the Sourcing details: A cost element with Purchase Price mapping is required before sending the sourcing line to Costing.
• The cost element with Purchase Price mapping is not a calculated Cost element to avoid data inconsistency.
