Replacing images in a style

You can replace existing images in a style record while preserving the metadata associated with the original image. This metadata includes the image label, name, notes, report image sequence, and the value of the report image check box.

Before you replace an image in a style record, ensure that the style record status is not Operational. Additionally, ensure that your role has View and Update permissions for the Style Images subentity.

Caution: Replacing an image uploaded from the Adobe Illustrator plugin disconnects the image from the Adobe Illustrator master file. Uploading a new image for the same artboard or layer creates a new image record instead of updating the replaced image.
  1. On the style details page, click Images.
  2. Right-click an existing image in a section in the Images page. For example, right-click an image in the Style Images section.
  3. Select Replace.
  4. If the image is originally uploaded from the Adobe Illustrator plugin, click Proceed.
  5. Click Add from local files to select a single image from your local computer. Alternatively, click Add from library to select a single image from the document library of the application.
    Caution: Any unsaved changes you made to the image's metadata before replacing the image are reverted to the last saved value.
  6. Click REPLACE. Alternatively, click REPLACE AND CLOSE to replace the image and close the Replace Image pane.
