Archiving

Every season adds to the product database. After a few years, historical data affects everyday use. Searches return more noise. Lists are harder to filter, and the products people are actively working on compete for attention with styles from past seasons.

Archiving gives you a clear way to separate past data from current data. You can individually archive styles or in bulk. You can also move whole seasons in a single action. Archived data is held in a separate database schema rather than deleted. This distinction matters, your historical record stays intact and remains searchable. However, it no longer clutters the active working environment.

You can still show and reference archived styles, but you cannot edit archived styles. This protects the integrity of your historical data from accidental changes. The result is an active database that stays focused on current work while preserving historical data.
