Importing a version

You can import previously exported versions and versions created by other users.
Note:  All versions from release 16.0.3 or earlier must be synchronized to IDM before you import them into the application.

You must import versions or databases outside core hours or peak hours in your region. Additionally, you can only import a version within six months of the current version. For example, if the current version is 2026.04.00, the oldest version that you can import is 2025.12.00.

  1. From the menu, select Admin > Manage Versions.
  2. Click Import.
    Previously exported versions are displayed.
  3. Select a version to import.
  4. Specify this information:
    Name
    Specify a name for the version.
    Description
    Optionally, provide a description of the version.
    Images & Attachments
    Select the check box to import images and attachments from this version.
  5. Click OK.
    A notification message stating that a task has been created for this action is displayed.
