Preparing to run automation in attended mode

In attended mode, RPA flows that require user intervention are triggered through the RPA Assistant application.
  1. Download and use the latest version of RPA Assistant from the RPA Mastermind:
    1. Go to OS > RPA Management > Home.
    2. Click Download RPA Installer.
  2. Ensure that you have the RPA-Admin security role to install RPA in the attended mode:
    1. Run the downloaded RPA installer file.
    2. Select Attended RPA.

      See Infor OS User and Administration Library (Cloud) and navigate to Administrator > RPA > Installing RPA > Attended installation > Installing RPA in the Attended mode.

  3. Ensure that you have the IONAPI-Administrator security role to download the ION API file of the RPA Assistant:
    1. Go to OS > API Gateway > Authorized Apps.
    2. Search for RPA Tray Assistant.
    3. Click the Download icon to download the .ionapi file to your default local folder.
  4. Log in to the RPA Assistant application:
    1. Open the RPA Assistant application and click Add an Account.
    2. Select the downloaded .ionapi file and click Open.
    3. Double click the added profile.
    4. On the sign-in page, specify your username and password then click Sign in.
    5. On the Request for Approval window, click Allow.
      After successful authentication, the RPA Assistant refreshes and displays the available solutions.
  5. Verify or install the latest version of RPA Assistant:
    1. In RPA Assistant, click the vertical ellipsis icon corresponding to the name of the solution.
    2. Select Install New Version.
    3. On the Versions tab, select the required version from the Available Versions list.
    4. Click Update.
  6. Ensure that your account is added to the users list of the RPA Management process to configure the user parameters:
    1. In RPA Assistant, click the vertical ellipsis icon corresponding to the name of the solution.
    2. Select Show Process Details.
    3. In the User Arguments, specify the user arguments or user parameters.
    4. Click Save.
    5. To return, click Back.
