Creating an extended field

  1. From the menu, select Setup > Extended Fields.
  2. Click New.
  3. Specify this information:
    Name
    Specify the name of the extended field.
    Label
    Specify the text label of the extended field.
    Type
    Select the field type from the list.
    Decimal Places
    If the selected type is Number, select the amount of decimal places to display in the extended field. The default value is four decimal places for new and existing Number-type extended fields.
    Entity
    Select the entity where you can use this extended field.
  4. Click Save and Close or press Alt + V.
  5. To use an extended field, add it to a custom view.
