Adding colorways to a material
Use these steps to add colorways specifically to a material record on the Colorways page.
- On the material details page, click the Colorways icon.
- Click Add New Row.
- Specify this information:
- Code

Specify a code for the color.
If you are using the Infor PLM for Fashion Extension for Adobe Illustrator, you must use alphanumeric characters for the color code.
- Name
- Specify a name for the color.
- Material Colorways Status

Select the status of the added material colorways.
By default, all newly created or copied material colorway records are assigned the value In Process.
Note: This field is single-select when used on the Colorways tab of the Material module. Additionally, this field is displayed in the Material Colorways action pane. - Description
- Provide a description for the color.
- Type
- Select a color type. The default value for this field is Single. The color type is automatically updated to Combination or Print if you add combination colors.
- Status

Select a status from the list.
Note: This field is displayed in the Material Colorways action pane.
- Pantone
- Optionally, specify the Pantone code for the color.
- NRF
- Optionally, specify the NRF code for the color.
- Shade

Select a color shade from the list. Color shades classify color based on their lightness or shade.
Color shades are a generic lookup type, which you can define in Generic Lookup.
- Sub Type

Select a color sub type.
Color subtypes are a generic lookup type, which you can define in Generic Lookup.
- Color Family

Select a color family from the list.
Color families are used to group similar colors. For example, you can classify fire red, fiery red, and blood red under the color family Reds. Color families are a generic lookup type, which you can define in Generic Lookup.
- Season
- Select a season from the list. You can define seasons in Generic Lookup.
- Purchase Price
- Specify the purchase price for the added material colorway.
- Purchase Price Currency
- Select the currency of the purchase price for the added material colorway.
- Free Field 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5
- Use free fields to specify information about this color that does not fall under and other defined field.
- Color User Defined 1, 2, and 3
- Select a value from these lists. You can create user-defined fields for colors in Generic Lookup.
- ERP Color Code

Specify the ERP color code.
ERP systems, such as M3 CE, that integrate with PLM for Fashion can have their own set of colors and corresponding color codes.
- Alternative Name
- Specify an alternative name for the color.
- To add colors, select the Color column and click the Add Color Content icon or press Alt+T.
- Select colors from the Color Picker or the Color Library, then click ADD. Alternatively, click ADD AND CLOSE to add the selected colors and close the pane.
- Optionally, add an image to the material colorways record line:
- Select a material colorways record line.
- Click Add Images.
- Click Add from Local File to select an image from your local computer. Alternatively, you can click Add from library to select files from the document library of the application.
- Click ADD AND CLOSE.
- Click Save.
