Requests for samples, quotes, labdips, tests (copy)

Using Infor PLM for Fashion, you can request samples, labdips, performance tests, quotes at a supplier or internally, using a request for samples process. The process tracks the date requests are due, who it is sent to, and what information is sent. A request for an apparel sample automatically generates a style measures sample page, saving time and reducing risk of errors. All requests can be commented to and the comments can be made public or private.

The request process can be used for requesting for:

  • Samples, Sample and Cost, Cost - Styles
  • Performance test - Styles, materials, or trims
  • Labdips - Materials

A request is always by product or supplier. All requests work in a similar way. Information added to a style, material, or trim are automatically picked up when generating the request. Features available in requests are:

Feature Description
Request and subtype Use to define what request and subtype are required. You can define the relation you need in your organization with Business Rules field dependency.
Define content Use to generate the request using predefined information from the products to minimize workload, item information, item mix, delivery addresses, email contacts.
Define tech pack Use to finalize the request with more details.
  • Reports can be defaulted by type of request or subtype.
  • Reports are bundled to one PDF file as tech pack

You can add attachments and images from the product to go with the tech pack

Send request Use to send request to a supplier.

This action shares the request to a system partner automatically.

This action generates an email. The email includes the generated tech pack (from selected reports) and attachments if this is a non-system defined partner.

Auto generate sample page In case a measurement header is connected to a style, the system will generate automatically a sample page to that style.
Request feedback Use to request feedback regarding cost (quotation) information, test results, or sample information.
