If the Component Type is set to Material or Trim, the values of User Defined Field 12 and User Defined Field 13 come from the defined Material or Trim's User Defined Field 12 and User Defined Field 13.
User Defined Field 6 and User Defined Field 8 are fields that contain data based on the Component Type of the BOM line. If a field does not apply to a particular component type, the field is set to read-only. Additionally, these fields are not part of the default view. You must add these fields in a custom view.
You can select any values from these fields manually.
If you add BOM lines by selecting material or trim records from the Library, User Defined Field 12 and User Defined Field 13 in style BOM inherit the selected material or trim's User Defined Field 12 and User Defined Field 13.
For business rules consideration, use these fields:-
User-defined Field 6
-
User-defined Field 7
-
User-defined Field 8
-
User-defined Field 10
-
User-defined Field 12
-
User-defined Field 15
-
User-defined Field 16
-
User-defined Field 17
Additionally, consider these factors for the UDF fields:-
The values of the user-defined fields vary on the component type, such as Style, Material, and Trim, of the BOM line.
-
User-defined fields 15, 16, and 17 do not apply to Styles, these cells are in read-only status.
-
The User-defined fields dedicated for business rules are not included in the standard Style BOM Line view. To enable your access, add the fields to a custom view.
See Infor PLM for Fashion Administration Guide.

Note: You can add BOM lines by copying a BOM line from this style or another style, and pasting it on this style.See Adding BOM lines that are copied from other BOM lines.
You can add more user defined fields for BOM lines in your custom views. You can also use Numeric Fields 1 to 8 for automatic calculations, but you must add these numeric fields to your custom views as well. See the Managing views section and Configuring BOM settings section of the Infor PLM for Fashion Administration Guide.
